This blog needs some sprucing up. I tried doing a calligraphy graphic long ago that looked quite good on paper, but I realized that my nice parchment paper didn't translate well to the computer screen. And I didn't feel like doing it over.
Does anyone know of a nice, easy, cheap (preferably free) way to make a cool graphic? Something that involves book covers, probably?

I recommend Wordle. It mixes both words AND graphics.
You can also try GIMP..
Wow; that Wordle made some cool word clouds. I'm not sure where it got "Mar.Tia's", but they looked good!
I do have GIMP, or an old version of it. I suppose I ought to invest some time into seeing if it can do what I want.
Spy seems to be full of good ideas. If she doesn't visit this blog, visit hers and ask.
Or Carole McDonnell at Dark Parables of a Christian Sister has a really fun make over banner on her blog, I think she said that her husband created it for her.
Ok, I've got to stop visiting blogs exclusively through feed readers. I didn't know Carole had a new banner. Same with SpyScribbler.
