Tuesday, September Eleventh

It was impossible to wake up this morning without thinking of this:

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

It's interesting that you would post this picutre with the Lord's prayer.

I have a question for you, and feel free not to answer it.

Are you a person of faith, and which one? Your Lord's prayer quote lead's me in a particular direction, but as a Christian myself (and not afraid to say it) I always like to find others of faith who enjoy reading what I read.

I am a Christian. (Not sure why I wouldn't answer that question after posting the Lord's prayer.) I just wanted to put up a small tribute.

A poignant tribute, Tia. The Lord's Prayer is a perfect caption. Exceptionally well done.

Amen.

Thanks for answering the question. Part of the reason i thought you might not answer is that the Lord's Prayer is a culturally acceptable prayer (strange considering what it says) and is part of many people's personal history and is used as a mantra with no meaning quite often.

Glad to know I'm not the only Christian who refuses to retreat into a Christian only bubble (can you tell I have a conservative background?)

At any rate, excellent tribute, and thanks for the recommendations and debuts.

Thanks, I was curious!

I actually blogrolled your blog weeks ago (from Remy's blogroll), then forgot to put it on my Google Reader. That has been rectified. Thanks also for your nice words about this blog.
