Blogger Showcase: The Galaxy Express

After my post on Friday about Mulluane's blog, I realized that I know of several other excellent blogs that deserve showcasing. So I'm going to devote a few posts to them, because I suspect the rate of the debut showcases won't pick up until September (going by last year's pattern). I'm only going to showcase blogs that I've only become aware of recently, so please don't think I'm leaving you out! If you think I have overlooked or missed your SF/F blog, feel free to email me.

I like blogs with a tight focus, therefore I like The Galaxy Express. Heather runs The Galaxy Express, and she focuses on Science Fiction Romance. And I'm not only talking about the modern stuff. Heather goes all the way back to the 1930s in search of great science fiction romance. She has blogrolls devoted to romance, science fiction and science fiction romance (of course), plus her top ten lists.

She puts up a lot of discussion posts, which has a lot of people jumping in for their say. It's a lively site; go check it out!

Oh, yes, anyone who's into Sci-Fi, Romance, and/or Fantasy should check out Heather's blog. It's a wealthy of information and lots of brain storming. It really filled a need for a subgenre which gets shuffled back and forth all the time.

Tia, words can not express...thank you! And I can't wait to hear back from you regarding You Know What.

As the lovely Kimber An points out, niche markets/topics often need definition and form in order to raise awareness. Blogs are such a great tool for organizing and compiling the art we enjoy.

And I must give a nod to Alien Romances, Lisa Paitz Spindler, and Spacefreighters' Lounge. In addition to Kimber An's tireless cheerleading, those blogs have been singing the praises of SFR way longer than I have (links to these sites can be found at The Galaxy Express).

I also should mention that I'm featuring SFR author Linnea Sinclair this week. Visitors can enter a contest later this week for a chance to win her most recent release SHADES OF DARK.

Thanks again, Tia!

You're welcome and thanks for the update, Heather. I'll check out those sites, and you've reminded me of Spacefreighters' Lounge.

Hey Tia, I've got to tell you that I think it's really cool what you're doing. :-) Most SFF bloggers wouldn't really want to tell people about other blogs, and you're one of the nicest bloggers around. :-) Kudos to you. :-)

Thanks for the kudos and the kind words. However, I must say that I owe a good part of my web traffic to other bloggers who have given FD a shout-out or who have added FD to their blogrolls. And I'm not talking about authors I've featured; I'm talking about my so-called competition; my fellow SF/F blogger. They really are a great group!
