I just posted my interview with the author at http://theintelli-gent.blogspot.com and should have a review up soon.

I really enjoyed the family aspect of this book, too. Man, the scene with the father and son...wow, tugged the heart strings near to breaking.Brycehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08883040345972688616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195356832263192713.post-14006527958235905682009-10-07T06:11:45.276-04:002009-10-07T06:11:45.276-04:00Hunger is not THE villain, and he is thoroughly en...Hunger is not THE villain, and he is thoroughly engaging. He's no more a villain than Quasimodo was in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, or Lenny was in Of Mice and Men.

In fact, I'm going to update my post.Tia Nevitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05489109929908389257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195356832263192713.post-63445584749144519662009-10-06T23:13:50.481-04:002009-10-06T23:13:50.481-04:00I wonder if I can get ahold of this one thru the l...I wonder if I can get ahold of this one thru the library. Family-oriented fantasy is my first love, so I might adore it. However, it's also got a few red flags, like a villian viewpoint character. I think this is definitely a cadidate for trying out before buying. {Smile}

Anne Elizabeth BaldwinAnnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195356832263192713.post-38728346508412411972009-10-06T20:39:11.362-04:002009-10-06T20:39:11.362-04:00I agree; family stories are refreshing.

Lol at `wished he would save a dog or something.' Sounds like a book to keep my eye out for. It helps that the cover art is lovely. (Shouldn't judge by the cover, but I like having something pretty to look at.)Chicoryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04050860012522600837noreply@blogger.com
